Jay Varner’s Merrymaking Mix 2012: Disc One

For eleven months out of the year, Jay obsessively cultivates his collection of obscure and beloved holiday music. Luckily, we’ve now entered that month where Jay decides to share his findings with all of you. 2011’s mixes received a record number of downloads here at Talus, Or Scree. We think that this year will be even bigger.

Some of the songs on disc one appeared on last year’s mixes (and, if you go way back, on our original blog 77 Santas). But some songs just can’t be denied their rightful place on any merrymaking mix, especially one as comprehensive as Jay’s. Below is the artwork. And right here is the link.

This is a four-disc set. Throughout December, Jay will post the other mixes—probably at a rate of one per week.
